I come in the little things, Saith the Lord: Yea, on the glancing wing of eager birds, the softly pattering feet of furred and gentle beasts. I come in the little things, Saith the Lord: Not borne on the morning's wings of majesty, but I have set My feet amidst the delicate and bladed wheat. I come in the little things, Saith the Lord.

Listen to Your Heart

"Are the stars too distant?
Pick up the pebble that lies at thy feet, and from it learn the all."

God's Grace

Enveloped in Your Light, may I be a beacon to those in search of Light.
Sheltered in Your Peace, may I offer shelter to those in need of peace.
Embraced by Your Presence, so may I be present to others.

Happiness is like a butterfly:
the more you chase it, the more it will elude you,
but if you turn your attention to other things,
it will come and sit softly on your shoulder.

This week in my garden I was reminded that life begins with the young looking quite different from what they'll be when mature.  Like these fawns with their white spots. . . .

Father's Day

There is a new father in my garden!
I have not seen him yet--just his hungry babies.

For several years I've set this decorative bird house on the fence post in my Arbor Garden. . . .

First Things First

I have many things on my To Do List for today, but first things first!  Like taking time to read devotionals and journaling, and let's not forget breakfast.  It's late already by the time I do these first things first.  But my garden calls to me, so I must obey.....and find the first roses, ever, on my trellis that I'd transplanted to that spot last year.  They were supposed to be white, but I see a tinge of pink and I am in love. . . .

Come As A Child

"Francis of Assisi’s childlikeness was a sign that he truly acted from his heart-center. He knew that he could not make himself a child of God–he simply needed to open his heart and allow God to love him.”
-Wayne Simsic
