I come in the little things, Saith the Lord: Yea, on the glancing wing of eager birds, the softly pattering feet of furred and gentle beasts. I come in the little things, Saith the Lord: Not borne on the morning's wings of majesty, but I have set My feet amidst the delicate and bladed wheat. I come in the little things, Saith the Lord.

 Crocus:  Cheerfulness
~Language of Flowers

Dear March, come in!
     How glad I am!
          I looked for you before.
                Put down your hat—-
                    You must have walked—-
How out of breath you are!
                              Dear March, how are you?
                             —Emily Dickinson

The crocus have finally bloomed and are more prolific than I've ever seen!  The purple cups with dots of yellow are like goblets of golden nectar--a feast for the eyes and a balm for the soul. ~cgs

  1. I just love crocuses! Mostly because they confirm that Spring is really coming, stubbornly-pushing their way to the surface first every year. And also, because they're purple [I love purple]. Most of them anyway. I do have a dim memory of seeing white crocuses in a nursery catalog once, years ago. Or did I imagined that? Anyway, yours are gorgeous. Here's to lots more soon... ☀️

    1. I've only ever seen purple ones, but I looked it up and they DO have white ones.

    2. Oh, thanks for checking, Cathy. And so I'm NOT losing my mind. Yet - LOL. A mix of white and purple crocuses would be gorgeous, I think...

  2. They look so happy to be here! And I guess they brought some friends. Beautiful.

    1. I love it! Yes, they definitely brought some friends this year. 😊
