Your pictures are exquisite. If you find out what those trees are, let me know.Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17103364860587388726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3041881232101928652.post-59080386914446217372015-12-07T15:11:08.192-05:002015-12-07T15:11:08.192-05:00Great photos, Cathy. It seems to showcase every little teeny part of the plants - almost like gilding it. Fall is really winding down here. Only a few spots of color left. The rest of our natural world here has dressed itself in the lifeless grays and browns of Winter. I have GOT to find out what kind of trees are planted along the entrance drive into our McDonald's. These trees don't reach their color peak until Thanksgiving each year, sometimes even a little past Thanksgiving. Very pretty coppery burnt orange and yellow, and the trees are thick with leaves so I'm assuming they're healthy too. I go down the street to McDonalds - about ½ mile - nearly every day at this time of year just to see them. And then of course since I'm there, I have to get coffee. No kidding, but McDonald's has AWESOME coffee. Every bit as good as Starbucks, and less half the price. I will never forget the day my Mom called me at work to tell me that her church's Wed AM Ladies Bible class had gone to McDonald's for coffee after their meeting that day - and did I know how good McDonald's coffee was ?? LOL. Mom was just amazed by this. She said it was good to know - now she knew she could get good coffee whenever she might need it in her travels, and without even having to get out of her car! About this time, Mom's older sister had moved back to New York from Michigan, settling about 3 hours from us near the Pennsylvania border. She & Mom were both widows by now and began visiting each other a lot. Some day trips, some overnights. So we bought Mom a cell phone, and triple A membership, and a stainless steel travel mug to keep her McDonald's coffee hot! LOL.<br />PS - it was a point of GREAT pride for my Dad that he'd NEVER had any fast food in his life. But because his work took him all over our region - city, suburbs and rural areas - he knew where ALL the best little "hole-in-the-wall" coffee shops and diners were. Which had the best coffee, the nicest waitresses, the best sticky buns, the hottest, freshest French fries. Which ones made their own homemade soups, baked their own muffins, or ground their own sausage. I now think my Dad was a foodie LONG before we ever heard that term. Take care and talk to you soon...🎄Janet Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04754470262654502312noreply@blogger.com
